Hello - We are getting ready for an important opportunity for young people to be heard as Leaders of Today engage in Dialogue with Leaders of Tomorrow
This afternoon our Plan International Young Reporters team the 'young leaders of tomorrow' will engage in a public dialogue with representatives from the UN and leading international NGOs. Topic of discussion is the humanitarian impact of climate change and its consequences for our world’s children and future generations.
This is exciting as today - Tuesday 15th December, children and youth representatives will engage in a dialogue with a panel of humanitarian leaders.
The panel consists of
- Bekele Geleta, Secretary General, IFRC
- Jet Li, One Foundation, WHO Goodwill Ambassador
- John Holmes, United Nations Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator
- Mary Robinson, President, Realizing Rights
- Josette Sheeran, Executive Director, WFP
The dialogue is moderated by Charlotte Petri Gornitzka, Secretary General, Save the Children and Anita Bay Bundegaard, Cultural Editor, Politiken
Ulla Tørnæs, Denmark's Minister for Development Cooperation, will give an opening statement.
