Ain't no mountain high enough...

On October 7th at SRC Bede Sixth form we are going to collectively climb the equivalent height of the Three Peaks Challenge- the three highest mountains in the UK on the Bede Sports Centre climbing wall.

Scotland- Ben Nevis 1344 m

England- Scarfell Pike 978 m

Wales- Snowdon 1085m

- totalling 3407 metres,

It is a sponsored fundraising event to raise money for the new Bede Eco Garden. A project in which we want to create an area to attract wildlife, grow veg, trees, reducing food miles, packaging and Bede’s carbon footprint and produce an outdoor social space and raising awarness on eco issues amongst young people.

As well as trying to raise much needed money the Eco Garden Project is looking for business supporters or members of the public to sponsor or donate products such as garden tools, plants, benches, shed, greenhouse etc.   Any donations would be greatly appreciated and could anyone who is interested in supporting us please contact the college:

Bede Sixth Form, Marsh House Avenue, Billingham, TS23 3HB

01642 808285.  bedeecocommittee@stockton.ac.uk

Will let you all know how the climbing goes.
