Don't worry it doesn't make you sound like a freak. I mean theres loads of people on here with their avatar as painted feet. That doesn't make them freaks.
The whole idea of a environmental art gallery is quite nice. My only problem would be how would you upload it? I know you could scan some artwork in. But some isn't quite possible and taking a pic would downgrade its quality.
I suppose it depends on what media the artwork is done in,
