    Avatar stories

I was just wondering what was the story behind your avatars, mine is a photo of the retreating,Chelenalp glacier, that we went to with the Champions Swiss trip.

It has been there for over 10,000 years but  at the present rate of melting it will be gone within our lifetimes.

The 06/07 champs treked for miles up a steep mountain track to almost 8,000 ft beside the glacier. Half way up the mountain it got really scary, the sky went black and a thunder storm crashed around us with sheet lightening. Massive hailstones and torrential rain poured down. But on arrival at the Swiss alpine mountain hut where we were staying the night we were met with hot chocolate and grilled sausauges. This might sound mad but we also played a game of cricket on the top of the mountain, in soaking wet gear. P.S we never got the balls back, they got washed down a waterfall. Surprise

The view was awsome with the snowbound glacier far beneath us . It was a truly unforgettable journey.

    Whats your stories? Smile

Ok, my current avatar (I change it every now and again) is of one of the Zoobliods - can anyone name it? Hmm

My daughter drew it on my foot, she is an amazing artist! - not that I am bias. Stick out tongue

She drew it while we were at the Pamper the Planet event at the shopping mall "West Quay" in Southampton.

We had a great time and met some brilliantly inspiring people!

check out some of the other feet from the Pamper the Planet event!

Mine's from the Champions 2008 trip-we had to go ona treasure hunt around Amsterdam finding diffeent things out in diferent zones earning "footprint credits". We also had a sheet of extras to do, incuding film a 10 second advert about renewable energy. My group found this, filmed it and said "this work was made with passion [referring to the Earth], don't destroy it save it, use renwable energy. It sounds bit strange but it was a really clear and bold message !

My avatar is a dalek. The most logical, evil, hated and hating thing in the whole (fictional) universe. Kind of like me!

Read my bio and see if you can guess what makes me hated by 98.564253% of the male population of the British Isles. (It is one of my hates, but I am working to eliminate those who dislike me)Big Smile

Well (without giving it away) I was one of those "fans" and I get more and more and more put off each time I watch the programme. It used to be "a bit toung in cheek" but I think he gets more ratings/street cred or something the more he makes fun of anything eco and the more "in your face" he is - I dont get it Hmm

Same here. Only, he managed to put me off very quickly. The fact he drives through cities like London in a massive car, just to try and make a point really annoys me!Angry
