Will you pledge to persuade your MP?

The government currently states targets of 60% CO2 cuts by the middle of the century. Yet the scientists who first suggested that figure now say, in the light of greater evidence, that 80% is necessary. What's more, WWF says it is  feasible. We need to put pressure on those in power to make a difference. After all, the represent us!

Will you write to your MP? You can get a great sample letter by signing WWF's petition here:

If you don't know who your MP is you can find out using your postcode and this website... http://www.upmystreet.com/commons/l/

Great thing is people our age do have a lot of power with our MPCool. Where they are constantly after votes for themselves and their party. By responding to a letter posted by someone our age they easily get simple promotion with future voters. Once we get to the age of being able to vote any previous experiences with the MP or their party may kick in.Wink

So what are you waiting for? Got a problem you want sorted in your local community (or perhaps wider) send them a letter! Whats the worst they can say? Stick out tongue

Smile How are everyone's letters going? Did your MP reply? Mine sent a guarded but certainly interested letter...
