Eco-Dude:Audi had actually built a car that runs in air.
Interestingly there is a French firm who are working on cars powered by compressed air. But back to the subject of the forum, I think that all high polluting vehicles should be taxed stupidly high ammounts, unless the owner can prove that they need that type of car (eg. a farmer needing a 4X4). This would reduce the number of high polluting vehicles dramatically. The money made by this should be spent on subsidising Electric car developers, so that there will be some green alternatives that actually perform well and have a good range.
