    Budget Day

With the announcement of new green taxes in todays annual budget on cars and petrol.

Do you think enough of the money raised is put back into improving public transport.

    ?

The use of solar energy has not been opened up because the oil industry does not own the sun.

The other day I saw a Top Gear programme and jeremy clarkson drove a Audi A8 from London to Edinburgh and back again with 1 full tank Surprise! how amzing is that he did about 41 miles to the gallon! I was suprised at thatSurprise . Jeremy even thought that Audi had actually built a car that runs in air. Thats ridiculos! but u never know. It might come tru 1 day.  Hmm

    Eco-Dude:

Interestingly there is a French firm who are working on cars powered by compressed air. But back to the subject of the forum, I think that all high polluting vehicles should be taxed stupidly high ammounts, unless the owner can prove that they need that type of car (eg. a farmer needing a 4X4). This would reduce the number of high polluting vehicles dramatically. The money made by this should be spent on subsidising Electric car developers, so that there will be some green alternatives that actually perform well and have a good range.

Life on Earth is too important for people to believe Jeremy Clarkson's opinions.
