I had a conversation recently with a man who deals in the supply of emergency energy - surprisingly it was very interesting 
no really.
He told me that our energy needs to be provided by many different sources as they all have their benefits. For example wind is not constant and it does not provide energy when we need it most like on cold still winters days.
However we could use wind power to generate hydrogen thorugh electrolisys which then can be stored and used in cars. Not entirly sure exactly how that happens but it sounds like part of the solution.
How else can you power a car?
