 I have a chinchilla called Charlie - he's almost 6 years old now and we've had him since he was a baby. He's a brilliant, playful pet, they need quite a lot of attention though.

I buy all of his food and bedding from a local pet shop. The hay is from local sources, not sure abou the food though, it's quite specialist.

I think pets are brilliant for children to learn about taking responsibility. Hopefully owning a pet really encourages caring for things around you, including the environment.

 My family is pretty big on pets, we have a dog, two cats and a hamster.  My hamster isn't very well at the moment because he's got a case of diahrea (don't laugh!It could be fatal for hamsters!)

I reckon there are eco-friendly sides to pets as well, like a dog could get you walking more instead of driving, it does make you a lot more responsible and makes you devote more of your time to the things you feel passionate about (could be saving the enviroment).

 I don't have any pets

I treat my zoobloid as one though!
