Lola: I mean, if we didn't cut down the tropical forests, not only would we be protecting speices for future genarations, but cutting carbon emissions.
Hi Lola,
It seems simple doesn't it? Well I'm going to have to tell you (and the rest of the FPF gang) that I agree with you so much that we have decided to gift everyone a rain forest tree for our first Birthday!!!! To do this we have teamed up with pixeltrees.com and all Footprint Friends members will be told in the near future (Doh, I just had to tell you).
Trees are hugely important for so many reasons and we are hoping to save as many as we can. The beauty of the pixeltrees idea is that in saving the trees we also get our site promoted and will hopefully encourage more people to get involved in 'doing something' about protecting our environment.
Only this week there was a news article about primates under threat..
'Almost half the world's primate species are under threat of extinction because they are being eaten or having their homes destroyed by Man.' Times 5th August
However, not all humans are so thoughtless and you are part of a generation to prove this - together we can make a difference.
Lots of small steps can make Great strides!
