Did anyone see the story about the couple who used a new Tesco recycling idea to earn themselves air miles to get a flight for their honey moon?
Basically for 3 months they scoured the streets for stuff that this new machine would take as recycling and this earned them points that turned into air miles. They reached their air miles goal in May, which covered the bulk of their £3,000 business class flights. That's dedication!!!
Thinking
How great would it be if the scheme made it possible to earn points for food as well. Can you imagine how differently we would look at our recycling - personally I am not interested in air miles.. but money of our food shopping would be bril.
Makes me think of the days when there was money back on lemonade bottles and kids used to look out for them to get the reward.
Would this idea motivate you to recycle more?
