     is it

    it doesnt recycle very much

and uses way to much energy

to be honest i'd rather go to a school that fully contripuates to recycling and saving energy

    Re: recycling at school

we have recycling bins in our classes to but not in use at lunch and most packaging is 100% able to be recycled but so many people don't care what happens

many people at our school don't recycle anyway

and also we use way to much energy at out school

in my opinun it could go down a quater if more childern and staff contribuate

    Hi,

Just seen this post and just had to reply.

Right at Wildern School we have a group, which I am lucky to be apart of, which meets regularly every fortnight to discuss environmental issues in the school. We also have a school council which I am a part of also which adds ideas to this. Recently we have introduced the idea of implementing recycling into our school and our main objective is to half the amount of waste which goes out through the normal rubbish bins. We are also, like said above, putting boxes for recycling paper into every classroom which are being supplied by our local council who provide recycling.

I am relieved to hear that other schools in the country do this aswell.

     Hi

I go to wildern school as well.  I'm part of the Eco Club and for the past year I've been on the Year 7 School Council (don't think I'll carry it on though).  Ms Broadribb has been getting super-hyped up along with the rest of the Eco Club because in the new term every classroom is getting a recycling bin.  We are making a video to help everybody know whats happening and what needs to be recycled.  I am  a bit uncertain about the way we're presenting it because it's Top Gear style.  Hopefully it'll work out fine and do it's job, we just need to keep on task, that's all.

We've been fighting for this for ages in Wildern and here's our chance!

When the world gets tough, the tough start helping.

Now after that serious bit... Look at my puppy! Isn't she sweet!!!Big Smile (DP)
