    Re: climate change video

    Hi All,

As I was surfing the net etc like you do on a Sunday morning... I came accross this on youtube. It has a stong environmental message and is about 30 YEARS OLD!! What really moved me about this is the lyric ' how much more abuse from man can she stand' (I've never really listened properly before) and the fact that the same problems apply 30 years later. And mother earth is still showing signs of distress.

Question .... how many more years..

It's a classic - see if it sparks a conversation at home and school etc

Sad I can't get it to upload but if you search YouTube for: Marvin Gaye - Mercy, Mercy Me you will see what I mean

We haven't got another 30 years to ignor this anymore - I found the song

    Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
    No, no
Where did all the blue sky go?
Poison is the wind that blows
From the north, east, south, and sea
    Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
    No, no
Oil wasted on the oceans and upon our seas
    Fish full of mercury
    Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
    No, no
Radiation in the ground and in the sky
Animals and birds who live nearby are dying
    Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
    What about this overcrowded land?
How much more abuse from man can you stand?
    My sweet Lord
    My sweet Lord
    My sweet Lord

I particularly enjoy the one by Swampy because it is 'in you face'

I like how it shows that the Earth is on fire at the start

    Re: climate change video

It will be great to see it. Any one else made a video to get a green SOS message out there?
